News MUTEC ships MC-6 stereo audio format and 4-channel sampling rate converter (23/8/2010) MUTEC from Germany, manufacturer of professional digital audio and video equipment, now ships the new MC-6, a digital stereo audio format and 4-channel sampling rate converter. The MUTEC MC-6 enables to interconnect digital audio devices very easily in many different ways without the need for the user to worry about any clocking issues. Conversions can be done between AES3, AES3id and S/P-DIF with clock rates up to 192.0kHz, uni- and bidirectionally. Every format is supported with an input and output incl. optical and coaxial interfaces for the S/P-DIF format. The internal, ultra low-jitter clock base in combination with two audiophil-optimized PLL synthesizers secure best sound quality in all operations modes. If a nonsynchronous device should be integrated into a digital studio-set, the SRC section can be quickly switched into the data stream to supply synchronized output signals. In conclusion, 26 different conversion modes between the four interface standards involved as well as various clocking options ensure that the MC-6 will handle any tricky conversion issue in every studio environment with ease!
