News Front Porch Digital Adds Full Avid, Apple Integration to its Flagship DIVArchive Solution (21/5/2010) Front Porch Digital announced that its DIVArchive(TM) V6.3 content storage management (CSM) system is now capable of full integration with the most popular media industry editing and production tools, Avid(R) Interplay(R), Apple(R) Final Cut Pro(R), and Apple Final Cut(R) Server. The latest release of DIVArchive offers integration with Avid Interplay, making it easier for users of Avid's industry-leading media asset management system to access content stored under DIVArchive management. New DIVArchive features include multiresolution object support; sub-clip partial restore; best-effort restore; advanced Avid asset search within the DIVArchive user interface; and full Unicode asset support. Recognizing the importance of offering customers the widest possible choice of leading NLE (nonlinear editing) solutions, Front Porch Digital has also enabled full integration of DIVArchive with Apple Final Cut Pro and Final Cut Server. This advanced integration is enabled by Front Porch Digital's new DIVAsymphony(TM) service-oriented architecture (SOA) framework, which supports more agile and flexible development of third-party interfaces in DIVArchive. "Since the advent of DIVArchive, Front Porch Digital has continually added to its versatility and functionality. A key focus for 2010 is to facilitate integration into third-party NLE applications," said Mike Knaisch, president and CEO of Front Porch Digital. "DIVArchive's tighter integration with Apple and Avid solutions not only supports efficiency for broadcast customers in demanding environments like news production, it also supports their ability to glean the most value from their media assets."
