News TDK unveils range of next generation HD recording media solutions at IBC 2006 (18/8/2006) At IBC 2006, TDK, a world leader in digital recording solutions, is showcasing a new line of industry leading high definition recording media products. Highlights will include TDK's Professional Disc for XDCAM HD, a range of Blu-ray disc products, and a new Pro Grade HDV Tape for professional camcorders. TDK's full line of high definition recording media solutions will be featured at IBC 2006 at the Amsterdam RAI at stand 11.611 (September 8-12). "With HD dominating the headlines at this year's IBC, we will be underscoring the message that our products are the broadcast professional's choice for the highest-quality recordable media when it comes to working in high definition," said Taro Ikushima, Product Marketing Manager, TDK Europe. The company will also be demonstrating compatibility with key hardware vendors including Sony's XDCAM HD, Pioneer Blu-ray disc drives BD-R101A as well as Blu-ray disc library device DISC1000 BD. TDK's Professional Disc for XDCAM HD and other optical media in the new line up are treated with TDK's innovative DURABIS hard coating technology which reinforces and protects the recording surface. The result of a multi-year development effort, this proprietary technology exemplifies TDK's technological prowess as the choice of industry professionals for recording media.
