Bluefish444 Announces HD|Fury Turnkey System with Adobe Production Studio Submitted to Adobe OpenHD Alliance for Certification (24/1/2006)

Bluefish444, in conjunction with Adobe, today announced its HD | Fury based real time uncompressed HD/SD SDI I/O turnkey system with the new Adobe(r) Production Studio is expected to be available in April after completing certification through the Adobe OpenHD alliance.

Details of the availability and configuration peripherals of the Bluefish444 HD | Fury Hewlett Packard turnkey system can be found by visiting the Adobe OpenHD website.

"Adobe OpenHD is an important alliance within the HD video industry to deliver to customers a proven, stable platform for HD production. Bluefish444 has a long history of supporting the Adobe video products and we look forward to providing an uncompressed HD turnkey solution with real time capability for Adobe Production Studio based on the HD | Fury," said Craige Mott, Managing Director of Bluefish444.

"We have worked with Bluefish444 for several years to provide uncompressed solutions for Adobe Premiere Pro and are pleased that Bluefish444 has submitted a system for Adobe OpenHD certification with Adobe Production Studio," said Simon Hayhurst, director of Video and Audio product management for Adobe. "The combination of an integrated Adobe workflow with the real time uncompressed HD capabilities in the HD | Fury make an impressive combination for our customers working in HD."

In addition, Bluefish444 announces the HD|FURY plug-in for Adobe Premiere(r) Pro 2.0, which offers real-time effects, multiple file format real time playback, and an SD DV offline function.

The Bluefish444 plug-in for Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 supports the new native effects and transitions library in Premiere Pro, supporting multiple streams of uncompressed and compressed SD video. By directly accessing the Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 effects and transitions engine, all of its effects and transitions are available, allowing for unrestrictive choice during the editing and layout process.

Once the edit of the compressed or uncompressed file is complete, Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 will conform the timeline during the export process to the uncompressed Bluefish444 QuickTime 10 bit YUV file format, maintaining the highest 10-bit SD SDI quality throughout the edit process.

The Bluefish444 plug-in for Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 supports real time file format mixing and playback on the timeline to the application and broadcast monitor, without having to re-render non10 bit YUV QuickTime v210 files. Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 customers can mix any file format supported by the Adobe Premiere Pro import engine such as TGA, AVI, JPEG, TIFF, DV, HDV and title sequences.

The Bluefish444 plug-in for Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 introduces an offline function for customers working with HD and SD. By taking advantage of the DV file format support in Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0, HD and SD editors can capture offline from an SD-SDI/analog source to SD DV supporting file sizes 1/10th the size of the 10 bit YUV SD uncompressed file format.

Bluefish444's offline feature can be used by HD customers to edit offline in SD DV using the Project Manager in Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 to trim the project. The SD DV file is then batch captured to HD with Bluefish444's 10 bit uncompressed QuickTime YUV file format, allowing customers to capture only what uncompressed footage is required, freeing up valuable file space.
