Dayang To Introduce D3-Edit HD Multiformat Editor (10/5/2005)

Dayang's new D3-Edit HD is a high-end editing system capable of operating in HD and SD formats. In HD mode, it can operate in 1080p/PsF at 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30 frame/s, 1080i at 25/29.97/30 frame/s or 720p at 23.98, 24, 25, 50, 59.94 frame/s. Editing features include real-time 3D and 2D effects, real-time multilayered character generation, unlimited edit layers, unlimited effects layers. Dependent on CPU performance, it can also provide multi-layer real-time video output.

D3-Edit HD supports multi-format editing, including HD/SD mixed sources, and provides integral MPEG-2 encoding and decoding. It can handle DV25, DVCAM, DVC PRO, DVC PRO 50 and SMPTE D10 video signal formats as well as 8 bit or 10 bit uncompressed 4:2:2 YUV. A choice of interface cards is available to match specific requirements. These include the Matrox X.linkHD (HD I/O), Matrox X-scaler (HD/SD conversion package) and Matrox X.effects card with realtime effects handling.

Input/output connectivity includes SDI (with eight embedded audio tracks), IEEE-1394, analog component/composite and 2-in/4-out digital audio. Preview and monitor outputs are provided.
